Promoting the Audi S-line, this interactive ad appeared in-stream with Reuters editorial content for the Reuters Next site redesign. As the user scrolled down the page, the advertisement began in its collapsed state and as the user continued scrolling, the ad expanded itself in-place. Clicking brought up the full-page interactive where the viewer got a microsite experience all without ever leaving the Reuters news stream. I partnered closely with the dev team to produce an immersive and seamless experience unique to Reuters — and to refine it into a product that could be packaged for other clients. Its success lead to several additional sales of this ad product over the lifespan of Reuters Next.
As the user scrolls down the page, the unit first appears in a compact "masked" state.
The user continues scrolling and as the unit approaches mid-screen position, the mask disappears to reveal the unit's full height.
Upon click, the unit transitions to a full-page microsite with its own nav interface. The user may choose to collapse the unit or simply continue scrolling to pick up where they left off on reuters.com.
