California Lottery: Game Units

Fastpop Game

Parsec pitched "gamification" units as a key attention driver for California Lottery's Scratchers campaign. The client was developing messaging around the zen of popping bubble wrap, leading to the concept here. The game is a race against the clock to pop all the bubbles on the screen with score tracking to re-engage users. I built controllers for native CSS animations in JS to present:

  1. An intro sequence with instructions
  2. The game interactive with randomized emoji pairs and scoring
  3. A final score panel with options to share or replay

It was an ambitious but rewarding project that drove stellar results for CA Lottery and led to renewed business.

Match Game

Building off of momentum from the Fastpop unit, California Lottery renewed with Parsec to build another game unit to maintain momentum. This game was holiday themed for their heavy-up from Thanksgiving to Christmas. I designed, pitched, and coded a match-style game to tie in elements of gifting and seasonal Scratcher games. This unit performed similarly well and led to a substantial incremental buy in the final days of the flight to further boost awareness leading up to Christmas.
